Me, dogs & shows :
The very first dog appeared in my life when I was 8. It was a border terrier named Maja (Anika Dziekanowska Polana). Together witm my mom we haven't been familiar neither with dog shows nor breeding, but we've made a great contact with our little girl's breeder and so our shows' adventure has begun.
First shows and trials were the most difficult. Observing the breeder at the rings, than my mom and lastly handling our Maja by myself fascinated me and pushed me to start my adventure with Junior Handling competition by the age of 9.
Year after Maja became part of our family, we have bought another dog. The breed was the same, but this time it was a male named Gucci (Cymes Dziekanowska Polana).
From the very beginning he was my dog, together with mom we went to trainings and next Gucci and I started competing in Junior Handler. First steps in the competitions were rough, because I didn't have a clue what is it all about and I had nobody to teach me.
After some time taking part in the competition, watching and reading anything I could find on the topic, first successes came and so after 6 months I have managed to gain my first Third Place in a competition. It has been a great kick-start and pulled me even deeper into the cynology. By the age of 12 I started handling other people's dogs in Junior Handling contest gaining knowledge and experience with other breeds.
Recently my adventure with Junior Handling competition is coming to an end, because adultness is at my doorstep, but I have quite some achievements to be proud of, like every possible placement in both national and international shows, winner of the day, descriptions from judges such as: professional/excellent dog presentation and being a finalist of the day at World Dog Show in Milano 2015, World Dog Show Moscow 2016, Euro Dog Show Brussels 2016 and representing Switzerland during the international Junior Handling competition at Crufts 2016
On the rings I have handled dogs from each FCI group and we were able to achieve good results in breed rings as well as in Best In Show rings.
In the future I would love to start my own, small border terrier and irish wolfhound kennel, because I consider those breeds noteworthy. If you are interested in cooperation, please contact me :)
